A little faith goes a long way - Even in the Rapture

A little faith goes a long way - Even in the Rapture

What is faith?

Definition:
Faith is belief with strong conviction; firm belief in something for which there may be no tangible proof; complete trust; opposite of doubt.

Example:
Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Faith is the most important thing any Christian can have, it the fundamentals of your salvation. It's how we show God we love him and trust him.

1 Timothy 1. 19
Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

Acts 3. 16
And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Hebrews 11. 1-7
1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

2 - For by it the elders obtained a good report.

3 - Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

4 - By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

5 - By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

6 - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

7 - By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

The above verses can also apply to the soon to come Rapture of Gods true believers.

People say they have complete faith in Jesus (God), but they don't.

Because someone with complete faith in Jesus could heal all manor of sickness, cast out demons, they could do anything Jesus did.

The bible says if you had faith the size of a mustard seed you could move a mountain, and cast out demons.

Matthew 17. 14-21
14 - And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,

15 - Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

16 - And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

17 - Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

18 - And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

19 - Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?

20 - And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

21 - Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

People ask me all the time "what do I need to work on in my Christian life" I always tell them work on your faith!

People say why don't Jesus (God) perform miracle anymore? It's because his flowers have lost faith in him.

Some of today's preachers preach "Jesus walked on the water" when you remind them that Peter also walked on the water, and you ask them why can't we? They say He only did it a short time and he only did that because Jesus told him he could.

Matthew 14. 24-31
24 - But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

25 - And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

26 - And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

27 - But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

28 - And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

29 - And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

30 - But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

31 - And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Well if the truth be told Peter only walked on the water for a short time because he looked down at the raging waters and lost his faith, as for the part "He was only able to do it because Jesus told him to" Jesus told us that anything He did we can do also.

So that means we as Christians have the power to heal the sick, perform miracle, cast out demons, and yes even walk on water, all in the name of Jesus Christ.

John 14. 14
If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Jesus didn't put a time limit on his words, the same holds true today as it did 2000 years ago, we as Christians have lost our faith in Jesus. May He forgive our lick of faith in Him and His holy words.

We should all pray for God to restore our faith in Him, we should bag for His forgiveness for our lick of faith.

For by grace are we saved through faith. And I believe that by faith we will be taken in the Rapture.

God bless you all.
