What's more important what we do or what we do not do?

What's more important what we do or what we do not do?

Often we hear people say I don't do this or that because it is a sin.

Did you know in the eyes of God that what you don't do can also be a sin?

If you see something going on that you know is wrong and you don't say anything or do anything to stop it then you are also sinning against God and his laws.

If you know people living a gay lifestyle and you never say a word to them about what they are doing is a sin then you are saying that what they are doing is fine with you.

When you see two people lining together without marriage and you treat them like they are husband and wife you are saying what you are doing is ok with you.

As Christians we have been commanded by God to stand up for Jesus no mater how hard it is, if we do not we are denying Jesus and He will deny us when it time to save us from hellfire!

When you know someone that is going to have an abortion and you don't tell her that what she is about to do is murder then you are a part of what she is doing.

Do you stand up for Jesus?

Do you thank God for your food when you eat at home but you are ashamed to thank him when you eat out in a public place because everyone will see you?

Do you ever stop to think He may be ashamed of you when you want to get into heaven?

Do you tell everyone you can that you are a Christian?

Do you ever deny that you are a Christian?

Did you know that by letting someone say and do thing thats against Gods commandants and not standing up for Jesus is in fact denying him?

The Bible says:

Matthew 10:33
But whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

2 Timothy 2:12
If we endure, we shall also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us.

If you want to be found spotless in front of God someday you have to do your best to live that way now here on earth, and that includes standing up for Jesus even when you know you will be hated for it. I for one would much rather be hated by the sinners of this world then to someday hear these words from Jesus "Depart from me I never knew you"

Can you imagine standing before God and hearing those words? Can you imagine the fear and terror that would grip your heart when you realize that you were never saved after all?

I believe that, sadly, many people will die and will be told those words by God. These people are those who have a false sense of security as far as their salvation in concerned. These people mistakenly thought that they had a "get-out-of-hell-free card," and they were playing a dangerous game when it came to matters of their eternal destination.

I am talking about those people who somewhere along the way got the notion in their head that to make it into heaven, all they had to do was say some meaningless words.

Read what Jusus said about this:

Matthew 7:20-23
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

So the next time you know in your heart that you should speak up for what's right and then you decide not to because you might be unpopular, I want you to think about what I have told you here today.

If you do not stand up for Jesus when He needs you, He won't stand up for you when you need Him to get into heaven.

Because being saved is not just having an emotional moment when the preacher gives the altar call.

Being saved is not just lifting up your hand at your buddy's funeral when you are feeling your own mortality.

Being saved is not something you "get," as though you can pick up a quart of "saved" from the corner market and then just go home and store it away on a shelf for emergency use only.

How can you say, "Jesus, come into my life and be my Savior and Lord," or whatever the words were, and then continue on willfully living a life of sinful rebellion?

If you have zero interest in pleasing the Lord, following the Lord's commands, learning of the Lord, or turning from your sins, you are not saved!

God bless you all.
