What does the bible really teach us about when the rapture will happen?

Here is when I believe the rapture will take place.

Let me say first that I am not setting definite dates here. I believe that the Bible tells us the day of the year the dead in Christ will rise, as for the year that's up to us to watch the signs of the times to know when the correct year will be. If it's not 2009 it will be some other year but it will happen on the day of the year the Bible says it will happen. There is a set day for the Rapture!

Understand before we start, that this is a theory based on Dec 21, 2012 being the midpoint of the 7 year tribulation. There is no guarantee that 2009 is the correct year for the Rapture, however the signs of the times seems to tell us that 2009 will be the year for the Rapture.

You need to remember that the first half of the tribulations are referred to as the tribulation, the second half is referred to as the great tribulation.

There is good reason to believe that Dec 21, 2012 will be the midpoint of the tribulation.
If this is in fact the case then The Rapture will happen in the spring of 2009. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out, just someone that reads the Bible for what it says.

There is way too many things predicted by too many sources for 2012 to be just another year, I really do believe the end of 2012 will be the midpoint of the tribulation (The start of the great tribulation).

We know by the scriptures that the second half of the tribulation will be much worse then the first half, we also know the Rapture will come before the start of the tribulation. Therefore it makes sense that the rapture will come before mid 2009, if in fact Dec. 21, 2012 is going to be the end of the tribulation and the start of the great tribulation.

I believe we may be only days away from the rapture.

Here's a passage that I believe is referring to the dead in Christ rising and the Rapture:

Song of Solomon 2:10-13
10 My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
11 For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
12 The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;
13 The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

This clearly says the Rapture will happen in the spring time in Israel.

I understand that your pastor or the books you have read didn't inform you about how important first fruits is to the return of Jesus and the Rapture, however the truth is the truth yesterday, today and forever more. You can believe the truth straight from the word of God or not that's up to you, my job is to tell you the truth, it's up to you to believe it or reject it.

I believe the Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ rose from the dead on first fruits and that the dead in Christ will also rise of first fruits. I believe What happened back then will happen again in the exact same way at the Rapture.

1 Corinthians 15:20-23
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Most believe the Rapture will happen at that time the dead in Christ rise, I believe the Rapture is a two part event, the first part being the dead in Christ will be resurrected and most of them will ascend up into the clouds to be with Jesus, also all born again Christians will be changed at that same time into their new glorified bodies (See 1 Corinthians 15:51-55)

Now here's the part most people miss; (See 1th Thessalonians 4:13-18) most of us Christians will ascend (Be Raptured) up into the clouds at that same time, however some of them along with some of the newly resurrected saints will remain here 40 days to witness and warn others of the coming 7 years of tribulation. However after the dead in Christ rise the "Age of Grace aka Church Age" will be over so anyone that accepts Christ after that will become one of the tribulation saints and they will have to wait 7 more years until Jesus returns to be with him, they will have to face the future tribulation and what a horrible 7 years that will be because God is going to be sending his wrath on the nonbelievers and everyone will also have the antichrist to try and deceive them along with the mark of the beast, also many of the tribulation saints will face probable death for their faith.

    Timeline of end time events assuming that December 21th, 2012 will be the midpoint of the tribulation.

  • April 9th, 2009. (Pesach) - The Jewish Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread. - There may be an earthquake or some major sign on this day.
    The name "Pesach" comes from the Hebrew root Pei-Samekh-Cheit, meaning to pass through, to pass over, to exempt or to spare.

  • April 11th 2009. From 6pm till April 12th 6pm Israel Time, - Easter (First Fruits) - This should be the day the dead in Christ will rise and all born again Christians will be changed into our new bodies and most will ascend (The Rapture part 1) - Until first fruits 2009 begins!

    There are several important events that happened on this day (First Fruits) in the Bible.

    1 - The resurrection of Jesus (John 12:24, 1 Corinthians 15:16-20). The Lord Jesus celebrated the Festival of First Fruits by offering Himself as the first fruits to all future generations (Matthew 27:52-53) So it makes perfect sense that the dead in Christ will rise on this day also. Just so you know Jesus rose from the dead sometime from 6pm till dawn.

    2 - Noah's ark rests on Mount Ararat (Genesis 8:4).

    3 - Israel crosses the Red Sea (Exodus chapter 14).

    4 - Israel eats the first fruits of the Promised Land (Joshua 5:10-12). The manna that God gave from Heaven during the days in the wilderness ceased the sixteenth day of Nisan after the people ate of the old corn of the land. The day following was the seventeenth of Nisan, the day when the children of Israel ate the first fruits of the Promised Land.

    5 - Haman is defeated (Esther 3:1-6). In the Book of Esther, Haman plotted to kill all the Jews in Persia and Media. Haman had ten sons. By this, we can see that Haman is a type of the false Messiah (antichrist). A decree was sent out on the thirteenth of Nisan that all the Jews would be killed. Upon hearing this news, Esther proclaims a three-day fast, which would be Nisan 14-16. On the sixteenth of Nisan, Esther risked her life when she came to King Ahasuerus. The king asked her, in effect, "Tell me, what do you want? "Esther replied, "If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him." This was the sixteenth day of Nisan. At the banquet, the king again asked Esther what she wanted, and she asked the king to come to another banquet to be held the next day, the seventeenth of Nisan. On this day, Haman (a type of the false Messiah or antichrist, as well as of satan) is hanged.

  • May 21st, 2009. - This should be the day those who remain after the first part of the Rapture will ascend. (Because this is the day Jesus ascended to heaven) also the tribulation should begin on or before this day.

  • December 21st, 2012. - Abomination of desolation (When the antichrist proclaims himself as God).

  • April 14th, 2016. - Tribulation over we return with Christ to set up his kingdom here on earth.

So will the rapture take place in 2009? We will have to wait and see but I have many reasons to hope and believe it will!

For those of you that think we cannot know when the Rapture will happen let me explain why you are wrong.

Don't be fooled by the traditions, and teachings based on traditions that teach you we can't know any of these things, the Bible says we can know ALL things. You miss all the important things when you're not informed; the Rapture is something you don't want to miss because you base your beliefs on traditions and not the true word of God.

I understand you have been told that we can't know when these things will happen but I urge you to believe what Jesus Christ himself said!

Jesus Said:
But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
Mark 13:23.

Let's start with what we do know for a fact:

We know the Rapture will happen just before the tribulations start.

We know the Rapture will happen in the twinkling of an eye.

We know that December 21, 2012 is the most likely date for the midpoint of the tribulation, the start of the second half of the tribulation, this is called the great tribulation.

We know Christ will return 3 ½ years before the great tribulation starts to take us home in the Rapture.

This means the Rapture will take place in the spring of 2009.

We know based on the scriptures that the dead in Christ will rise on first fruits. (Don't let those who don't understand what the Bible says mislead you about this)

The only thing we don't know for sure is that December 21, 2012 is the midpoint of the tribulation. So I can't say for sure that 2009 is the year that the Rapture will happen but everything seems to point to it as the right time for the Rapture.

But what about No one knows the day or hour?

The Bible says:

Matthew 24:32-34
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

This was written about the Jews becoming a nation, this happened in 1948. It says that generation shall not pass before Christ returns; it's already been 60 years.

We are living in the end times, this is as clear as it gets people.

Matthew 24:37
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Noah knew the flood was coming, God told him to get his family ready and get in the ark, Noah knew before the event happened that it was getting close.

Noah and his family escaped the judgments because they believed the word of God concerning the coming flood, but the unbelieving world was condemned.

As it was, so shall it be, those who believe Jesus Christ and trust him as their savior will escape the coming judgments of the Great Tribulation, but the unbelieving world will be condemned.

Here are more scriptures that show that in the last days, the wise will understand, and know all things:

Dan 12:9.
And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

Dan 12:10.
Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Mark 13:23.
But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

Luke 8:17.
For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

Mark 4:22.
For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.

1 John 2:20.
But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

1 John 2:27.
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

1 Peter 1:5.
Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

God is telling us today that the end is near, many of us have see these things in dreams and visions, wake up Christians and see the light.

The Bible also says:

1 Thessalonians 5:4-6
4 But ye, brethren (True Christians), are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Matthew 16:3
And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

If you think it is not possible to know when The Rapture will happen. Examine the scriptures, pray about it, and you will clearly see that I am not violating the scriptures. May God the Father open your heart and mind to a greater understanding of His Word!!

Here's more information that should convince you I am right:

"And there will be SIGNS in the Heavens" Did you see the Triple Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn that occurred December 1th 2008? This same thing occurred just before the birth of Jesus Christ at his first coming surely this is a sign of his second coming.

It's easy to say this preacher don't know what he's talking about, it's easy to laugh and call me crazy and many do, however remember everyone said Noah was crazy, they laughed at him too, but the flood came and destroyed them all, don't make the same mistake as those people, I'm not alone in this belief there are many that know as I do that the Rapture of the true believers is just around the corner.

Peter warned, "Scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, 'Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation" (II Pet.3:3-4).

The last key prophecy before the start of the tribulation is the one whose fulfillment we are witnessing today - the re-focusing of world politics upon the nation of Israel.

Zechariah 12:3
And it shall come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

All the nations of the world, including the United States, are coming against Israel over the issue of the control of the nation's capital - the city of Jerusalem. The Vatican wants the city put under its control. The United Nations wants it to be internationalized. The European Union is demanding it be divided between the Arabs and the Jews. The Arabs want all of it.

The signs that relate to Israel are the most important of all because the Jews are God's prophetic time clock. What I mean by this is that the Scriptures will often tie a prophesied future event with something that will happen to the Jews. We are told to watch the Jews, and when the prophesied event concerning them occurs, we can be sure that the other prophesied event will also occur.

The Bible clearly teaches that God never pours out His wrath without warning for He is a just and loving God who does not wish that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9).

That is why He has provided so many signs to alert us to the fact that we are living on the threshold of the Tribulation.

Anyone that can't see that the end is just around the corner is blind or just don't want to see the truth!

The year 2012 may will be pivotal, perhaps catastrophic, possibly revelatory, to a degree unmatched in human history.

Ancient Mayan prophecies based on two millennia of meticulous astronomical observations indicate that 12/21/12 will mark the birth of a new age, accompanied, as all births are, by blood and agony as well as hope and promise.

Since the 1940's, and particularly, since 2003, the Sun has behaved more tumultuously than any time since the rapid global warming that accompanied the melting of the last Ice Age. Solar physicists concur that solar activity will next peak, at record-setting levels, in 2012.

Storms on the Sun are related to storms on the Earth. The great wave of 2005 hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma coincided with one of the stormiest weeks in the recorded history of the Sun.

The Earth's magnetic field, our primary defense against harmful solar radiation, has begun to dwindle, with cracks comparable in scale to the ozone hole opening up randomly. A pole shift, in which such protection falls nearly to zero as the North and South magnetic poles reverse position, may well be under way.

Russian geophysicists believe that the Solar System has entered an interstellar energy cloud. This cloud is energizing and destabilizing the Sun and all the planets' atmospheres. Their predictions for catastrophe resulting from the Earth's encounter with this energy cloud range from 2010 to 2020.

Berkeley physicists, who discovered that the dinosaurs and 70% of all other species on Earth were extinguished by an impact 65 million years ago, maintain, with 99% certainty, that we are now overdue for another such mega-catastrophe.

The Yellowstone supervolcano, which erupts catastrophically every 600,000 to 700,000 years, is preparing to blow. The most recent eruption of comparable magnitude, at Lake Toba, Indonesia, 74,000 years ago, led to the death of more than 90% of the world's population at the time.

Eastern philosophies such the I Ching, Chinese book of changes, and also Hindu theology, have been plausibly interpreted as supporting the 2012 end date, as have a range of indigenous belief systems.

At least one scholarly interpretation of the Bible predicts that the Earth will be annihilated in 2012. The burgeoning Armageddonist movement of Muslims, Christians and Jews actively seeks to precipitate the final End-Times battle.

The Message

The bottom line message of the signs is that we are living on borrowed time. And the crucial question for every human being is "Are you ready?" Are you ready for the return of Jesus? Will He come as your Blessed Hope or your Holy Terror?

It will be one or the other, for God is determined to deal with sin, and He does so with either grace or wrath (John 3:36). If you have put your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you are under God's grace. Your sins have been forgiven and forgotten, and you can look forward with confidence to that glorious day when Jesus will appear in the heavens and calls us home. (The Rapture)

But if you have not received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are under the wrath of God, and you have nothing to look forward to except the terror of His wrath.
